The
law office of Robert J. Thomas represents both defendants and
plaintiffs in business litigation, public sector employment
arbitrations, serious personal injury litigation and franchise
agreements. He has tried and handled litigation in state and federal
district courts and appellate courts.
Bob has successfully defended major
Texas corporations in complex litigation, employment disputes, and
commercial arbitrations. He has
represented Texas corporations in binding arbitration regarding the
interpretation of contractual language and the enforcement of national
franchise agreements.
In 2001, he was the lead attorney
negotiator for the police bargaining
agent regarding the Meet and Confer
agreement with the City of Houston. The agreement
provided approximately $72 million in compensation and benefits for the
officers and established a new independent
police civil
service commission.
For the past sixteen years, Bob has zealously represented and defended
numerous Texas police officers in state and federal district court,
arbitration hearings, and civil service commissions. He has represented
officers in the Houston metropolitan area, the Golden Triangle, El Paso,
Brownsville, Laredo, Lufkin and East Texas.
